tell my mother to label me;
missing in action,
i love her, but her suffering
is a fucking distraction,
i love her, more
than she can possibly imagine,
but i had to sacrifice
our relationship
to follow
these feelings that i fathom,
tell her thanks,
for helping me with my fractions,
tell her thanks,
for saying that i’m handsome,
tell her thanks,
for providing a situation,
that would allow me to end our interaction,
it’s sad, but i’m glad
this situation happened,
because
now i’m totally free,
to follow my heart
with abandon,
without worrying about
her limited understanding,
now i can make love,
to this world,
without a concern for my own
personal satisfaction,
i know it will never happen,
committing crimes of passion,
leads to
obeying the laws of attraction,
